Vintage Limoges Porcelain Passport Box with French Porcelain Postcard Numbered

  
Darling darling, darling Limoges porcelain American passport collectors box for sale! This particular box is rare and desirable. Its condition is perfect, mint, and dimensions are 2 1/4 tall, 1 3/4 wide (excluding hinge), and 3/8 deep.

It is so cute that I can barely stand it. The box is not dated, but inside the lid reads a machine-applied inscription. The box is hand-numbered beneath that inscription. This box is number 513/750, so apparently the company made 750 of this exact box. Ive not seen this detail in any other box for sale on line, but the box contains a small, sage-green, porcelain postcard that reads.

Love from France, and features a tiny drawing of a stamp, a red heart, and an Eiffel Tower. Taken together, the box and kit are obviously meant to be a souvenir an American brought back from a trip to Europe. I really cannot say this heartily enough: This box, with its contents, is irresistible. If you collect Limoges boxes, know someone who does, love to travel to Europe, love darling little things, are looking to fill a small curio with charming items, or have a mom or wife or friend who fits into any of those categories, this box is for you!!
