This listing is for an exceedingly rare Limoges trinket box designed exclusively for the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. This limited edition trinket box depicts a representation of the wonderful landscape of Les Vessenots in Auvers (painted in 1890 by Vincent van Gogh). The original painting depicts old country cottages placed just below a raised horizon; further down, further down, wheat fields stretch to the bottom of the canvas, borken only by a few swaying trees. The Limoges trinket box was made in a limited edition of 250 and this particular box is numbered 179. This piece is truly elegant and virtually impossible to find.
