A fine, vintage, French, Limoges porcelain, hinged, covered trinket box. Fresh from an estate, comes this very charming box. It is shaped as a ladybug or gentleman bug? In hat and tux, standing on top of a lily pad playing a cello or bass stringed instrument. Decorated with a purple flower and green leaves, it opens to reveal musical notes inside. It has bronze fittings with a violin for the latch. This is a high quality, hand painted French box & not a cheap knockoff. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, scratches or chips.
