Limoges Rochard Peint Main Stone Fountain With Lovebirds Trinket Box
The Limoges Box is a small hinged porcelain trinket box produced by Limoges factories near the city of Limoges, France. These charming boxes first appeared in 18th century France. They were known as "tabatieres". Each box is made by hand, thus making each piece completely unique. The final touch to the box is the decorative metal hinged mountings that are meticulously fitted to the finished box.
This is the "Stone Fountain with Love Birds" trinket box. The size of this box is: approximately 2 3/4" Tall, 1 5/8" wide and 2 1/4 in length.
