It may be a jungle out there, but Mr. Hippo has done well and obviously wants to show it. As befits his success, he is formally clad in an olive morning coat, a matching top hat and puffing on a celebratory cigar. In one hand he is holding a gold coin while behind him, his other hand is clutching a wad of bills. The box clasp is a ribbon bow.
From the Limoges "Whimsical Animals" series, the long-retired Hippo Banker is 1.8" diameter and 4.0" height. It is like new, in pristine condition and curio displayed. Marked Parry Vielle ("PV") backstamp.
