The box, which is in the shape of an old camera with bellows, has hinged lid with the hinge equipped with a flattened center to serve as a stopper to for the box's lid when opened. The lid represents the camera itself with the base being the bottom of the box. The camera has a brown body with black bellows and a black lens having a white front. The camera also has silver highlights throughout as well as the bottom portion of the box.
This very interesting box has a hinged lid. Both top and bottom of the box are fitted with black colored metal tops at the edges fitted a hinge on the back and a locking round thumb piece attached to the front of the top portion. The box has a rectangular bottom that is white. The bottom has the name of the maker of the box written in beautiful black cursive calligraphy and has a circular green mark indicating that the piece is from Limoges France. The inside of the box is white and undecorated. This is a very nice piece from Limoges France to add to your collection of small trinket boxes. Date: Uncertain, but most likely sometime in the 1970s or 1980s, possibly earlier.Origin: Made in Limoges France. Marks: Marked on the bottom of the inside of the box in beautiful black cursive calligraphy "Hand Painted Rochard" and a green circular mark which says LIMOGES FRANCE surrounding interlocking letters that appear to be SLC.
