This is a wonderful and rare. Limoges France "MARQUISE de POMPADOUR" trinket box of the WHITE HOUSE. The Limoges Marquise De Pompadour boxes are among the most exquisite and highest quality boxes available!

This box appears to have suffered a slight mishap at some point.... Its condition is NOT perfect! There is a hairline crack that is visible on the base, which is NOT loose OR visible from the inside (see the 6th and 7th pic). There is a rough spot on the roof peak at the back of the house (see the 5th pic).... Neither issue affects the overall viewing beauty, and DOES NOT inhibit the opening or closing of this box.

The inside has a hand-painted American flag and says "God Bless America". The clasp is the "classic" eagle with olive branches.

Overall, an exquisite piece of French Limoges craftsmanship honoring America.... One any collector would be proud to own, especially at this price!! This trinket box measures approx.

2-1/2" x 2-1/4" x 1-1/4 high and is marked on the base, as seen in the photos.
