This oval limoges hinged trinket box features a beagle or other brown dog sitting on a stony area in the grass. The dog is painted with dark brown hair on his body and light brown hair on his head and face. He is holding a newspaper or letter in his mouth. The box measures approximately 2.5 inches by 2 inches and 2.75 inches in height. The box clasp is in the shape of a bow. On the bottom of the box is painted, "BS Limoges France Peint Main Edition 2002 0867/2500". This box is a genuine limoges, hand-painted in France. "BS" is the artist's initials and "0867/2500" indicates it is a limited edition box.
