Authentic Vintage RETIRED Limoges Trinket Box PV Double-Sided Blue Butterfly

  
Absolutely striking big blue butterfly retired vintage Limoges box, made by the Parry Vieille (PV) Company of France (that has been out of business for many years). It was part of a 1999 numbered edition, this one being #0106 out of 2500. This beautifully-hand-painted butterfly Limoges box is double-sided, with each wing having a separate compartment underneath, each one having a flower medallion clasp.

Inside there is a long-stemmed flower hand-painted, with one half of the flower in one compartment & the other half in the second compartment - The artist was very clever! The butterfly has metal antennas, and measures 4 1/8" in length (the wingspan), 2 1/2" in width, and sits 3/4 in height. It is in excellent condition.
