Today we are delighted to offer for sale a most lovely antique Limoges porcelain coquillage shell box! Expertly and intricately molded in the shape an oyster shell, this darling trinket or jewelry box is intricately and precisely hand-painted with minute multi-color sprays of flowers, all interspersed by gilded trim. The piece is marked on the bottom "Made In France/(Limoges Logo)/692". Presents beautifully and in very good antique condition, with very minor shelf wear from being on display. There is very faint and stable and not continuous hairline crack on the upper right corner of the top shell.

Some tiny bits of the gilt caulk that holds the ormolu mounts with the porcelain pieces is gone. Dimensions: Length: 3 1/2" Width: 2 1/2" Height: 1 1/2.
