Antique Bronze Renaissance Limoges Enamel Box in 1500's Style c. 1850 5 Plaques Medieval Grisaille Enamel in Manner of Barbedienne This box is truly a rare find and not something that comes on the market very often. This bronze box is circa 1850 and the enamel paintings are in the manner of the early 1500s Renaissance master Barbedienne.
It is VERY heavy and would have been made in the best shop in town. The box is in EXCELLENT condition and the lining is excellent. It is only missing one screw on the bottom. The spring latch works and it sits on four bun feet and is decorated with fourteen rosettes. The condition of this piece is a 10 out of 10.
It features five Medieval Grisialle enamel plaques and is hand chased with sharp definition. Measures 6" wide, 3.25" deep, and 3.5 tall. Federal Express Economy or Priority. All of our prices listed are QUOTES.
