True Collectors - this is for you! Amazing, unique LIMOGES Trinket Box. The piece is a child's toy cabinet decorated with whimsical toy & doll characters in multiple colors.

Inside is a little shelf. The little toys I have displayed are not authentic Limoges (they are included) - they will need to be arranged and secured by the new owner - they are currently loose. The outside paint is colorful and artistic.

Truly unique addition For Any Limoges France Collection. Front: paint and ceramic show no flaws. The plastic "window" has minor, tiny scratches which I tried to capture in the pictures. It does slant a tiny bit from bottom to top - part of its authentic charm!

Back: The back has a matte finish and you can see the paint brush strokes on the yellow - so charming. Top: The top white outline area is a glossy finish. The inside yellow area has a matte finish. Different colored feet- blue, red, green bright yellow.

Blue script writing says Limoges France on one line and Peint a la main on the second line. Then stamped in green print (not script) in the opposite direction is LIMOGES (clear) and France (not as clear - I think it says France). The little brass shelf has very minor scuffing and a small dent in the top. I cleaned it with brass cleaner. It will likely tarnish over time and need future cleanings.

When I acquired this unique box, I had no idea how much work it needed. It had a crooked, tarnished shelf with visible glue. It also had glued in "toys" that were clearly not authentic Limoges.

I thought the toys were removable and that the shelf was part of its charm. But I realized it needed some work to make it collector worthy. I removed the toys and the glue they were attached with and the shelf. I removed the tarnish from the shelf and re-glued it.

The plastic window was glued with a dark brown glue. I removed it and re-glued it with a clear silicone glue.

I cleaned every bit of the entire piece. The shelf has some visible marks, but that is to be expected of a unique piece like this.

I do not recommend displaying "heavy" items on the shelf. I stand by this adorable piece and if for any reason you are not satisfied with it, I will happily take it back. On that note: I would trade for items of equal value (beach, tennis, leopard, designer, Christmas). Please see my other listings for additional unique authentic Limoges boxes.
