A unique and stunning piece this Limoges item is actually not a hinged box but a "painting" of the famous "Dance at Bougival" by Renoir. The piece is exquisite and the only one we've seen in this design.

The "Painting" has a gold frame and can be displayed on the wooden easel that will accompany it. The "Portrait" itself measures approx 3" (High) x 2" (Wide). The piece measures Approx 5 high when displayed on the wooden stand. The piece is signed "Decor Main, Limoges France" which means that the piece was decorated by hand. For hundreds of years, this term was used interchangeably with Peint Main as meaning the same thing.
