This listing is for the Limoges Peint Main Taj Mahal trinket box that you see in the photos. I was not told its history. The bottom of the box measures close to 3 by 3 inches.

Including the metal piece on top of the building , it measures close to 3 ½ inches tall. It weighs close to 8 ounces. The bottom is marked, Limoges France Peint Main C. L There is an image of a flag on the inside. The condition is much like you see it in the photos.

It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. A photo shows some extremely faint lines on the bottom that I do not know the nature of. I think that they might be from it rubbing against something. There is a small bend in the metal piece on top of the building. The box closes with a mild snap and the catch holds but there is a slight amount play so that the box will open slightly before the catch will hold it.

I think that it may have been made that way. I do not know if it is possible or wise to adjust the catch.

The metal pieces on top of the building might be slightly tarnished. Otherwise, it is fine and as shown. My photos should give you a good idea of its general condition.

Please know that the lighting in my photos is uneven and that there are shadows and reflections. On my monitor, the colors are close to but not exactly like the actual colors.
