Limoges Box Rochard Matching King & Queen Chess Pieces Games Two Box Set

  

This rare Rochard two box set is a pair of matching king and queen chess pieces. The king has a midnight blue and emerald green crown with a 22KT gold finial and detailing, a blue mantle, and a green and white ruffled'lace' collar. He has a diameter of 1.3" with a height of 4".

The queen has a blue and'lacy' green crown, a blue hood, and gold detailing. She has a diameter of 1.3" with a height of 3.8".

Both bases are blue, with scallops and gold scrolls. Each has a fleur-de-lis clasp, and a gold fleur-de-lis painted inside.

On the bottom of each is: "Rochard - Limoges France - Peint Main" with the artist's initials.
